Because finding the right lawyer matters
The Firm operates under two distinct identities:
www.mackesyscrime.co.uk provides 24 hour assistance in criminal matters from the initial appearance at the police station or at interviews at the Department of Works and pensions, through to appearances at the Magistrates, Youth and Crown Court. We provide nationwide cover.
We are members of the VHCC panel which enables us to deal with more serious cases such as Fraud and similar long running cases.
We have a a substantial presence on the internet providing initial free advice for up to 30 mins.
We have developed a specialisation in motoring law, with many successful trials and special reason mitigations to avoid disqualification when points exceed the limit.
we also deal with Appeals and prison law cases.
www.mackesysfamily.co.uk. This department specialises in divorce, domestic violence injunctions, all cases involving children, mediation, adoption and child 'snatch' cases.
The Firm was initially established in 1959 by Alan Mackesy as a general law practice. Geoffrey Wordsworth, who had completed his Training Contract with the Firm, took over in 1984 and specialised in Criminal Law. The Firm has grown substantially since then with over 30 fee-earners in Crime and 15 in Family Law. We now have five contracts with the Legal Services Commission.
