Established before 1850 Brownings have been providing legal services in Redditch and North Worcestershire for over 150 years. In 1990 we expanded our services by opening an office in Alcester near Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire. Our Evesham office opened in May 2007.
With the creation of the Redditch New Town and expansion of commercial activity in North Worcestershire, we have extended our Company & Commercial expertise to cater for the increasing need for fast and efficient legal advice. Paul Broad our senior partner heads a team specialising in Commercial Landlord & Tenant, Company Formation, Company Acquisition, Merger and Disposal, Commercial Conveyancing, Property Development and all aspects of Employment Law. As part and parcel of our service to business clients we have a strong commercial litigation department providing advice and assistance in debt collection and contract and commercial disputes.
For the private client we have a dedicated domestic Conveyancing department at our Redditch, Alcester and Evesham offices headed by John Madge (Partner) and run on a day to day basis by Conveyancing managers. We provide a full range of services including sale/purchase/remortgage/purchase of council house with a minimum of fuss and at a competitive price.
For our clients unfortunately suffering bereavement we provide appropriate advice and assistance in administering the estate. We have seen the difficulty faced by relatives where there is no Will and therefore, actively encourage our clients to make a Will by charging only a minimum fee for Will writing.
As part of our litigation team we have a large personal injury department pursing claims on behalf of injured clients where someone else is to blame. Our Personal Injury department have experience in all types of claims from Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work, Industrial disease claims, Slipping and Tripping claims and Fatal accidents. We have a robust risk assessment procedure and only take on those claims that we believe have a good chance of success. For this reason we are confident of a successful outcome for our clients and pursue the majority of claims on a 'no win, no fee' basis.
Finally our Family department headed by Stephen Parker (partner) offers matrimonial advise and assistance at both Redditch and Alcester offices. We have a franchise to provide Community Legal Services Funding (the new name for 'Legal Aid') for those clients of moderate means. Stephen is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and specialises in childcare proceedings as well as being a member of the Law Society Family Panel. He also sits as a Deputy District Judge. All aspects of matrimonial proceedings including divorce proceedings, custody of children issues and the financial aspects of separation are dealt with in a friendly and compassionate manner. |
