Since qualifying in 1979, I have specialised in publishing, and of course the industry has changed considerably in that time, e.g. in the concentration of dominance within a few multinational conglomerates and in the technology available for disseminating material to the public worldwide. I have acted for some of the largest publishers (as well as some of the x-small) and for some of the most respected authors (as well as first-time authors) – as well as all sorts in between these extremes. Because I am a one-person specialist firm, I am able to offer a cost-effective service to clients both large and small, and I appreciate that all clients -- irrespective of their size or reputation -- are important.
 
I offer clients my personal attention and the assurance that their work will be carried out by myself and not delegated to a junior assistant (as often happens in larger firms). Furthermore, I have retained contact with former colleagues, and therefore I have the resources of a substantial full service law firm to call upon or to recommend to my clients as and when necessary.
 
I am able to bring 25 years’ experience of the industry to bear in giving advice to clients.
