Banking transactional work includes: lending (bilateral and Syndicated); trade and commodity finance; leveraged finance; investments; structured finance and securitisations. Insurance work includes: advising captives and captive managers in relation to corporate governance (including PCCs and ICCs) and regulatory issues. Commercial and trust litigation: the exceptionally strong litigation team is active in the areas of banking, trusts and insurance, whilst also undertaking a wide spread of general commercial work. It is frequently involved in asset tracing, injunctive relief, cross-border insolvency, professional indemnity and assistance in foreign proceedings. Commercial property: Babbé has acted on virtually every major recent commercial property transaction in Guernsey. The property and corporate team recently acted for the purchaser in the most expensive commercial property transaction in Guernsey to date.
