Business Clients
We understand what our company, commercial and business clients need and respond accordingly; ensuring we are up to date with legal developments so we can advise our clients before they even realise they need that advice. The lawyers in the business work seamlessly so we can place "teams" at your disposal quickly to respond to your needs and they are very active in the cross-referral of work, enabling us to meet the demands made on you, the client.
You need advice at the inception of your business idea from Company/Commercial to ensure you create the correct terms of business for your venture. Not only should they protect you but also help you serve your clients. We advise billion pound international clients on relevant legislation as well as on the purchasing or leasing of premises, licensing, refinancing for development through Commercial Property.
You may already have a thriving business, moving from small to medium or medium to large and do not want to fall foul of constantly changing employment legislation. The Dispute Resolution department works closely with a number of clients on a company level advising on contracts of employment, internal employment procedures, company handbooks and tribunal work, as well as for individuals and will guide you through this minefield of information. Dispute Resolution has experts in all aspects of commercial and property litigation, boundary disputes, probate disputes and debt recovery issues. Licensing became a major issue in August 2005; the Dispute Resolution Department can advise on how to continue trading under these new circumstances.
Private Clients
Our Wealth Management Department can advise you on how to pass on more of your money to your loved-ones and pay less in taxes. Essential in achieving this is the creation of a forward–thinking Will with sensible tax and inheritance planning. If you are an Executor, you will want guidance on how best to distribute funds according to the instructions left in the Will. The team gives expert advice and provides a sympathetic ear at an anxious and difficult time.
Residential Property will support you through another, potentially anxious time by pro-active communication with you, agents and others involved in the transaction. We don’t just write letters, we actively use the phone and email to progress the matter, encouraging agents to contact us so we can work with them on your house move. We have a case management system that generates diary reminders and letters automatically, so you are not left wondering, "what is going on?"
Very difficult and tense moments can arise from pressures on families and sometimes results in breakdown. The Family team works closely with their clients to advise and guide them to the best solution. Angela is a Collaborative Family Law Lawyer and a member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors’ Family Law Association. They adhere to guidelines set down ensuring strong but fair negotiation, which is in your best interests.
They will include the financial and children aspects in the completion of the matter. If you are not yet married or thinking of setting up home with someone, the team will advise on pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements to protect all parties involved. The Family team also advise on Civil Partnerships and Pre nuptial/Pre Civil Partnership agreements to ensure all parties are protected.
The Lawyers at Pearson Maddin provide what is best for our clients and do so with the full backing of a strong support team, some of the most up to date IT infrastructure and a communication strategy constantly evolving and improving.
We invite and welcome any comments about the service we give to you and would encourage you to make positive or negative observations, emailing them to info@pearsonmaddin.co.uk for the attention of the Chief Executive.
