Types of work undertaken Charity - The firm has long acted for a number of well-established national charities providing advice on charity law, disputed legacies and services similar to those required by commercial companies in a manner sympathetic to charities’ aims and ethos. Construction - The Construction team delivers a comprehensive service, ranging from the preparation of front-end project documentation, through to assisting in the resolution of disputes. A number of our partners have held in-house positions in various parts of the industry. Our non-contentious advice includes the choice of procurement, the drafting of the necessary contract documents, as well as advising on development, funding and other commercial agreements. On the contentious side, we regularly conduct cases in the various divisions of the High Court, as well as in arbitration and also use other methods of "alternative dispute resolution"; in particular, adjudication and mediation. Corporate & Commercial - The practice deals with a complete range of commercial transactions. It has particular expertise and wins an impressive level of new business in mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, raising of equity and loan finance, quoted company work including AIM, joint ventures, de-mergers, corporate re-organisations and general company/commercial advice. Employment - The firm's Employment team advises clients (in particular those of high net worth or with a high public profile), on the best way to operate efficiently to minimise claims and eliminate confusion in order to get the best from their workforce. Expertise includes drafting employment contracts, procedures and policies, transactional work, benefits, a wide range of contentious matters in tribunals, and the High Court, including the Companies Court. Media - Media-related expertise covers a variety of services including commercial media, marketing communications, IP, data protection, e-commerce, sports law and gaming, gambling law, interactive media and entertainment. Litigation – The Litigation team acts for both domestic and international clients on a range of commercial disputes which are heard in various forums from the high court to mediations and arbitrations including the enforcement of both domestic and international judgments both in the UK and abroad. The team also deals with property litigation, contentious probate, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 and Debt Recovery. Private Client & Family - Services to individuals and families cover estate planning, advice on wealth management, the creation and maintenance of UK and off-shore trusts, charities, multi-jurisdictional administration and succession issues. The firm is also appointed by the Public Guardianship Office. Specialists handle a range of matrimonial and family law matters. Domestic conveyancing includes a UK relocation service for personnel of companies and overseas clients. Real Estate - Campbell Hooper has a strong reputation in commercial and residential property development work, all kinds of traditionally structured major development projects, urban regeneration schemes, private finance and public/private partnerships. Projects frequently involve most of the firm's core legal services and are typically supported by specialist expertise in contaminated land, tax, planning and other complementary specialisms. Amongst others, the firm represents developers, local authorities and retailers in town centre scheme developments.
